About the Role

We are looking for a Discord Manager ready to help lead the IterateUX Discord community with the IterateUX Discord director. The individual must have strong knowledge and experience in managing UX Design communities. Another important part is having strong experience managing the Discord platform, where we host the IterateUX community.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership : Overseeing and providing guidance to a team of moderators, cross-collaboration with other teams seeking Discord requests, and ensuring that everyone knows their roles
UX Design help : Communicating with members in the IterateUX community on the areas of UX design that they need help with
Content Management : Monitoring and controlling the quality and appropriateness of content shared within the server
Mentoring and Training : Assist in onboarding and training new Discord moderators and volunteers in the IterateUX community
Creating Discord strategies : Assist in the development of Discord strategies for IterateUX Design challenges, portfolio and resume reviews, etc
Attend Leadership/Management meetings : Must attend all of the management meetings that are led by the founders of IterateUX
Onboarding UX Design mentors : You will be responsible for onboarding the UX Design mentors onto the IterateUX Discord server by showcasing the portfolio and resume ticket system process. Ensure they engage with the IterateUX community
Cross-team collaboration : Work across with other teams on the Discord requests

Requirements

Minimum of 3 months commitment.
Commit 8-10 hours per week (everyday availability Mn-Fr).
Preferably Located in North America or as close to the PST time zone as possible (Canada or USA).
Discord experience of at least 2 years.
Discord features:
Creating channels, categories, permissions, forums, etc.
Managing Mee6 bot.
Knowledge of Nitro Boosts.
Experience in helping members out with Discord problems.
Follows and uses the new features and trends of Discord.
Must have at least 1 year of community forum experience.
Should have UX-related work experience for at least a year.
