Volunteer Halton

Community Development Halton (CDH) is an independent organization focused on supporting the over 1000+ nonprofit and voluntary sector organizations in Halton.

We do this by engaging with our community to address issues and ensure their voices are heard by local decision-makers, policy developers, and governments.

CDH is comprised of Volunteer Halton, the volunteer centre, and Social Planning and Research Halton. Together we have been serving Halton Region since 1984. Connecting community is what we do.

As a pillar program of Community Development Halton (CDH), Volunteer Halton has been part of the community for over 40 years. The act of volunteering is found in all cultures, languages, and religions. Each year, thousands of Halton residents volunteer their time and skills to help make our community a better place. When they volunteer, they help improve the lives of others. And when they volunteer, they also gain a greater sense of belonging to Halton Region and their local community.

BURLINGTON VOLUNTEER FAIR: Saturday August 22, 2026, 10am to 1pm

Volunteer Fairs have returned in 2026 and the next one is Saturday August 22, 2026 from 10:00am to 1:00pm in Burlington. Plan to join us at St. Christopher's Anglican Church at 662 Guelph Line to meet organizations in community who engage volunteers to deliver key programs and services in Burlington.
