Volunteer Halton

Community Development Halton (CDH) is an independent organization focused on supporting the over 1000+ nonprofit and voluntary sector organizations in Halton. CDH has two pillar programs: Volunteer Halton, the volunteer centre supporting Halton Region, and Social Planning and Research Halton. Together, we have been serving Halton Region since 1984. Connecting community is what we do.

Volunteer Halton has been part of the community for over 40 years. The act of volunteering is found in all cultures, languages, and religions. Each year, thousands of Halton residents volunteer their time and skills to help make our community a better place. When they volunteer, they help improve the lives of others. And when they volunteer, they also gain a greater sense of belonging to Halton Region and their local community.

At Volunteer Halton, we envision a Region where volunteerism is accessible, inclusive, and valued, contributing to community well-being and engagement.
