The purpose of the Agassiz-Harrison Museum is to acquire, preserve and exhibit artifacts, photographs, documents, and records of significant historical value pertinent to the Harrison River Valley and share and make our resources available to everyone. This includes Agassiz and the District of Kent, Harrison Hot Springs, Harrison Mills and surrounding areas bordered by the Fraser River to the south, Ruby Creek and Katz to the east, Port Douglas and Hemlock Valley to the north and Harrison Bay to the west.

Our Mission is to inspire conversation and dialogue, expand understanding and knowledge, and contribute to a better society by creating an inclusive and welcoming environment in the service of the public and in accordance with the highest professional standards.

The Agassiz-Harrison Museum aspires to be recognized as a centre for heritage, arts and culture, and a gathering place for all, that encourages personal discovery, appreciation and understanding of the Harrison River Valley and its peoples'.
