2025 Brackendale Fall Fair ACTIVITIES CO-ORDINATOR

Preparation work can be done at volunteer;s home office. The Fall Fair is at the Brackendale Farmers Institute Park, 41976 Government Rd, Brackendale, Squamish, BC, V0N 1H0 [map]

The 2025 Fall Fair on Saturday Sept 6, promises to be another huge success. 
All activities at the fair are included in the entrance fee. 
Activities are outdoors with set up  & take down on Friday and Saturday. The activities are simple with proven participation. Activites are geared towards youngters & youth participation.

The activities coordinator will oversee traditional activities and instigate new activities, as well as work with the Volunteeer coordinator to recruit supervisers and volunteers for each activity.
Weekly meetings are held mid July to Fair day for committee updates. 

Traditional acitivities include:
ZUCCCHINI RACE
Supervisor to: 
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 3,  who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attendants help with set up & take down and assist with people building racers.
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday). Including tent, race ramp, wheels & tools. All stored on site.
Wrangle zucchinis ( provided by farmers, neighbours and particpants)
Assist volunteers and particpants to have a fun, safe experience including crowd control

MINI GOLF 
Supervisor to: 
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants  x 2, who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attendants help with set up & take down and control the number of players on the course, hand out and receive clubs & balls. 
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday) including tent, course, rope fencing, golf clubs & balls. All stored on site.
Assist volunteers and particpants to have a fun, safe experience including crowd control

HAY RIDE
Supervisor to: 
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 2 who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attendants contol the safety gate where people enter the tractor area and ride as safety conductor at back of hay ride.
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday) including fencing, pop up tent, & a couple of chairs. All stored on site. A designated tractor team sets up the tractors and haywagons. 
Assist volunteers and particpants to have a fun, safe experience including crowd control

CAKE WALK
Supervisor to:
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 3, who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attendants activate the music and  cupcakes disbursement
Equipment set up and take down (Saturday) including pop up tent, cake walk boards, music player table, cupcakes. Some stored on site.
Assist volunteers and particpants to have a fun, safe experience including crowd control

LOST & FOUND 
Supervisor to:
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 1, who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Attendants  host the Teddy Bears Picnic Lost & Found area.  
Equipment set up and take down (Saturday) including pop up tent, kiddy table & chairs, teddy bears, books. Some stored on site.
Assist volunteers and particpants to have a fun, safe experience including crowd control

PICNIC TABLES & CHAIRS
Supervisor to:
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 4 who are required for 1 hour shift at 9:00 am and 1 hour shift at 6:00 pm.
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday) including transporting tables & chairs from Sea Can  & elementary school to picnic area, covering tables with table cloths. Most stored onsite.

PHOTO OP BOARDS
Supervisor to:
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants x 2 who are required for 1 hour shift at 9:00 am and 1 hour shift at 6:00 pm.
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday) including farmer board and sporty chicken board. All stored on site.

VARIOUS TOSS GAMES: Feed the pig, bean bags, ring toss
Supervisor to:
Recruit, schedule & take charge of Volunteer attendants  x 1, who are required for 2 hour shifts from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Equipment set up (Friday) and take down (Saturday) including farmer board and sporty chicken board. All stored on site.

NEW ACTIVITIES 
Pitch us!  Keeping in mind we have limited space for maximum participation .
Additional Details & Skills Required
Support will be provided by previous activities co-ordinator.
Certification or Education Required
Previous experience working with a variety of people.
