Academic advisor (volunteer)

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC) is a registered not-for-profit organization specializing in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) programming is open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The SMAC will specialize in an advanced bar-none. STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)

Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 6 hours a week

We are expanding our programming to industry-specific, hands-on experiences. We require an Academic Advisors volunteer to help us keep the momentum going in support of the growth and development of these programs. We ask you to join us in continuing to serve the youth in our community.

Responsibilities:
•	Supporting Program Development and Growth.
•	Public Engagement and Communication
•	Teamwork and Collaboration
•	Provide academic support and guidance to students, helping them understand course content, develop study skills, and achieve academic goals.
•	Maintain accurate student records and program documentation.

Qualifications:
•	A vibrant personality with excellent communication skills to engage and connect with the public of all ages.
•	Ability to think creatively and adapt activities to different situations or age groups.
•	Ability to work effectively with other volunteers and team members, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
•	Time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
