Fundraising Development Coordinator (volunteer)

STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Location: Remote
Time commitment: 6 hours a week

Description: We are looking for a dedicated and tactical Fundraising Development Coordinator to become part of our team as a remote volunteer. In this position, you will assist in organizing and carrying out fundraising efforts to back our organization's mission and objectives. By working from a distance, you will team up with colleagues to create plans, involve donors, and make the most of fundraising chances.

Key Responsibilities:
•	Work together with colleagues to create and execute creative fundraising tactics that support the organization's mission and goals.
•	Discover and investigate possible donors, sponsors, and collaborators to grow our fundraising connections.
•	Help with developing engaging fundraising content, such as proposals, presentations, and online campaigns.
•	Organize and assist with online fundraising events to guarantee smooth implementation and interaction with donors.
•	Handle donor connections by staying in touch consistently and giving updates on how their donations have made a difference.
•	Monitor and assess fundraising data to measure campaign success and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
•	Take part in online meetings to share progress on fundraising and get input.
•	Stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices in order to consistently improve our strategies.
•	Work together with marketing and communications teams to guarantee consistent messaging across all fundraising efforts.

Requirements:
•	Proven experience as a fundraising development coordinator or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful fundraising campaign.
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
•	Effective organizational and project management abilities.
•	Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box .
•	Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•	Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy and application.
•	Capability to work independently as well as in cooperation within a virtual team setting.
•	Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with a diverse global audience.
