Twinkle Patrol (Burlington Festival of Lights)
Volunteers are invited to patrol the Festival of Lights at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington on any night(s) during the event. Your role will involve walking through the lighting displays to visually inspect them for any malfunctions or damage. There is flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your availability. Additionally, you can earn high school volunteer hours for your participation! Proper footwear is recommended, as the lights are set up on a field, and you should bring a cellphone for your visit. For any malfunctioning displays, please take pictures to share with the coordinator later. Volunteers are expected to email the coordinator with an update on the park, along with any pictures, either the night of or the morning after your walk-through. About the Festival of Lights Each year, from December to early January, the Festival of Lights illuminates Burlington’s waterfront. This beloved seasonal tradition draws thousands of local residents and visitors alike, who gather with family and friends to stroll through the park and admire the themed displays.
