Event Greening Ambassadors at Events in Burlington

Have fun helping attendees at local events get their waste into the correct containers. You'll have a BIG impact raising awareness about composting, recycling and reducing GHGs (Greenhouse gasses) by keeping compostables out of landfill.

Most opportunities are on evenings/weekends, outdoors in the Summer and Fall. We can accommodate volunteer groups.

Tasks may include: Site set up or take down; welcoming community members; limited waste handling (gloves provided); moving waste containers; helping to ensure a pleasant experience for members of the public; serving as friendly BulingtonGreen Ambassador; potential bussing of tables; other tasks as needed.

Eligible for high school volunteer hours. One hour of training required, scheduling is flexible.
