Getting inspired, learning, outdoor opportunities, creating social media content & much more! Are you between the ages of 14 – 24 and are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to learn how YOU can make a difference? Whether you are a member of an eco-club, have a general interest in the environment, or want to know where to start, we want to hear from YOU! Join Us! All are welcome: The BurlingtonGreen Youth Network (BGYN) is an open and inclusive space for anyone in the age range of 14-24. Join us throughout the year to connect with other like-minded young people as we learn about local and global eco-issues and news, opportunities to help the planet and more. Examples of rewarding (and fun) eco-activities include: -- Hands-on Habitat Restoration, tree planting, and Litter Clean Up events -- Invasive Plant Removals -- Event Greening at Popular Burlington events -- Special Events and inspiring webinars -- Eco-film Screenings + post-film discussions -- Hikes and Opportunities to Connect with Nature -- Social Media research, graphics, and post design team (online/remote opportunity!] -- Learning about and taking local action on climate change through tree planting, and more! Volunteer Hours: Bonus! You can earn high-school volunteer hours by participating in our various Youth Network activities. Volunteer Waiver: We require a completed volunteer waiver BEFORE you participate in BGYN activities. Contact us if you have questions! Follow Us On Instagram: We try our best to post new opportunities on our BurlingtonGreen Youth Network Instagram Page. Following us is a great way to stay tuned into eco-news and opportunities, you can find our page at https://www.instagram.com/bgyouthnetwork/
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Connect with other young people who care about the environment, have fun participating in volunteer events and stay up to date on other opportunities to help the earth and earn volunteer hours.
