Restorations Second Stage Homes
Restorations exists to support survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking by providing long term residential housing and survivor-led peer programming.
We will create a thriving, national survivor-led community that empowers survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking to a life of holistic, self-determined well being, and restoration.
The core of our work is building and nurturing trusting, long-term relationships between survivors of trafficking/exploitation and staff, volunteers and the wider community in order to establish a foundation for recovery, healing, empowerment and success.
Join our volunteer team to make a positive impact in the lives of survivors of trafficking and exploitation in our community.
Nancy’s House is a second stage home that provides a safe and supportive space in Burlington, Ontario for survivors to heal, reclaim, and restore. Each resident is unique in their needs, goals, and strengths. As such, programming is delivered with a focus on individualized, strength-based practice where each resident is encouraged to dream within a supportive and caring environment which consists of staff, volunteers, and community supports.
Restorations' Survivor-Led Peer Advocacy program employs individuals with lived experience of human trafficking and/or commercial sexual exploitation to utilize both their professional and lived experiences to extend help and hope to those in our communities affected by these injustices and to promote collaborative relationships that empower survivors.
***Please note, to protect the location of our confidential home for survivors, a generalized Burlington (Aldershot) postal code is listed.
