Weed Removal Volunteer

Burnaby Family Life is looking for a couple of enthusiastic volunteers to help our Christine Sinclair Childcare Centre to make the playground area safer for children’s games. If you are having a fun of physical activities and willing to lend us a hand for removing weeds surrounding the playground, please contact a Coordinator of Volunteers at knogovitsina@burnabyfamilylife.org or to 604-312-3243 DATE: One day of the week of September 2nd, or September 9th (you can choose your available days) TIME: •8am-10am •12-2pm •4pm-6pm LOCATION: Christine Sinclair Childcare Centre ADDRESS: 3713 Kensington Ave, Burnaby WHAT EXPECTED TO DO?: help make the area safer by removing weeds surrounding the playground
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
• This volunteer opportunity will involve pulling weeds, so it is important we do earlier or later in the day to avoid heat and/or the children at play • Dressing in long pants and good shoes will be important
