APN - Call for Board Members Want to have a big impact on the arts in Alberta? Alberta Playwrights' Network is a not-for-profit provincial organization of emerging and established playwrights, dramaturgs, and supporters of storytelling in all its forms. APN is currently looking for volunteer Board Members, including a Treasurer, to join our team. We are especially looking for representation in Northern Alberta. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: -Attend and participate in monthly board meetings -Review the agenda, minutes, reports and budgets to prepare for meetings -Question budgetary or report inconsistencies to ensure strong financial oversight -Volunteer time (as available) for events, outreach, and fundraising efforts -Learn APN’s mission, policies, programs, and needs to ensure they are fulfilled -Offer ideas that will help us move forward with our goals -Evaluate the performance of executive leadership -Participate in strategic and organizational planning WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: -Energetic and goal-oriented professionals -Entrepreneurial individuals -Community organizers willing to engage their peers -Members of the organization wishing to become more involved -Philanthropic leaders looking to invest in the arts -Executives interested in learning more about the industry APN is committed to removing barriers; fostering an environment of opportunity; upholding the values of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility; and supporting diverse storytelling.
