Re-Connect Assistive Technology Volunteer
Through personalized rehabilitation and community integration programs, ARBI has helped thousands of brain injury and stroke survivors regain lost abilities, increase their independence, and reconnect with their communities. The Re-Connect Navigating Technology Program is a new small-group program designed to support clients in learning and using assistive technology, everything from TVs and internet to communication tools. As a Re-connect volunteer, you will receive hands-on training from our interdisciplinary therapy team to support clients one-on-one within a supportive group environment. You will also assist with the setup, customization and basic troubleshooting of technology, all while providing encouragement and enthusiasm. This program will run every Monday morning and afternoon for a 12-week period and is expected to continue for two additional 12-week cycles. Volunteers may commit to the morning or afternoon session, or both (with a break in between). The projected start date is February 23, 2026. We are looking for volunteers who are tech-savvy, outgoing, and strong communicators, with a passion for helping others, and an ability to build rapport. Experience working with vulnerable populations is not necessary, but definitely an asset. If this sounds like you, please email us at volunteer@arbi.ca. Join ARBI as a Re-connect volunteer and give brain injury and stroke survivors a second chance at life!
