Are you a professional keen on child and family wellbeing? Join our Board of Directors. We are looking for 2 professionals to join our Board as leaders advancing the mission: experienced Accountant, Lawyer or other professionals. Parents of neurodiverse children or family members of persons with a disability are an asset and welcome to apply. Board Members meet together 9 times a year: quarterly for 2 hours (4 hybrid board meetings) and (i) annually at the 2-hour Annual General Meeting (hybrid), (ii) 3-hour Strategic Planning Meeting (hybrid), (iii) 3-hour Volunteer Family Acknowledgement Lunch (inperson), and (iv) 2 inperson Fundraising events (5 additional meetings/events). Directors of the Board either Chair or Co-chair a working committee composed mainly of talented volunteers who advance the mission to transform family stress into relief for neurodiverse children and their families. Committee work ranges from Community Engagement and Programming, Fundraising and Campaigning, Treasury and Finance, Digital Marketing, to name a few. Certification or Education Required
Professional degree in Accounting or Law preferred; Lived experience as a Parent or Family member of children at risk for or with neurodiversity--autism, ADHD, LD, ID, mental health concerns, medical complexity or other diagnosis is an asset.
