Directors and Officers of the Board

Are you a professional keen on child and family wellbeing? 
We are looking for professionals to join our Board as leaders advancing the mission: experienced Accountants, Lawyers, Medical Doctors & other professionals. 

Family members of neurodiverse children or youth are assets & invited to apply.

Time commitment: 

2-3 hours per month
Board Members meet 9 times a year: 4 hybrid Board Meetings & 5 other meetings/events.

Specifically, these meetings are four 2-hour quarterly Board Meetings, 
one 2-hour Annual General Meeting & dinner (hybrid), 
one 3-hour Strategic Planning Meeting & BBQ (hybrid), 
one 3-hour Volunteer­ Family Acknowledgement Lunch (inperson), and 
two 3-hour inperson Fundraising events.

Other activities or meetings may be held in-between formal meetings. The type & frequency depend on interest, talent & Director or Officer role. Contact us to learn more about specific Board roles such as the Treasurer who is an officer of the Board.

A three-year mandate is preferred (renewable).

Responsibilities:

Directors of the Board either Chair or Co-chair a working committee composed mainly of talented volunteers who advance the mission to transform family stress into relief for neurodiverse children and their families. Committee work ranges from Fundraising and Campaigning, Treasury and Finance, Digital Marketing & Communcations, Community Engagement and Programming, to name a few.

**All Directors must reside full-time in Canada; preference is given to applicants in Alberta.**

Additional Details & Skills Required
Depending on the role, the Treasurer must have experience with QuickBooks.

Preference is given to applicants with Registered Charity experience in Canada.

Consideration will also be given for applicants who are a family member of a neurodiverse child or youth.
Certification or Education Required
CPA, Lawyer, Medical Doctor, or similar degree;
Must have full-time related work experience in Canada for 5 or more years.
