Operate the group as long as you wish.
Work from home and generate part-time income as the top organizer who operates an oline Meetup group that offers events in Calgary. Generate revenue through donations and a membership fee that comes in when women become members. Oversee Assistant Organizers and Event Organizers who find and post events (some advertised elsewhere) on the event site. Typical events include: walks in city parks; easy summer hikes near Calgary; breakfasts, lunches, dinners; museum visits; movies; educational seminars; and any other activity that appeals to women. Receive all the free training you need to feel comfortable in your new part-time role, as follows: - Host your own events on days when you are able to volunteer, whether it's weekdays, weeknights, or weekends. - Describing the event in an easy-to-use template, then post the events you host on the website to invite members to attend. -Post recruitment notices and then train and support the other organizers who find their own events to host and post on the event site. - Optional: Generate awareness of the events through the Meetup website and the group's Facebook and Instgram pages, or find volunteers to help with this task. SKILLS - Write concisely and accurately to create website posts - Speak to groups of adult women as they introduce themselves at events - Recruit and train volunteers to host events REQUIRED - A home personal computer with access to the Internet - Ability to devote a few hours a week to the role
Certification or Education Required
Ideal: Some experience in marketing/social media OR event planning/coordination OR volunteer recruitment/training. Anyone can learn to operate this group.
