Calgary Quest Children’s Society (CQCS) is a non-profit organization that was created in 1980 by a group of caring parents of students with learning disabilities. These parents formed a non-profit society and wrote a philosophy for Calgary Quest that continues to this day. In 1995, Calgary Quest School (CQS) was accredited by Alberta Education as a Designated Special Education Private School.

Calgary Quest Children's Society (CQCS) has two major programs.

1. Calgary Quest School (CQS) is our oldest and largest program. It provides an educational and therapeutic program for students with moderate to severe disabilities from the ages of 6 to 20. All students who meet the criteria are funded by a combination of Alberta Education funding, and school fees. Our team of teachers, therapists, instructional assistants, and support staff create a caring and safe environment which respects each student’s ability and supports them in maximizing their potential.

2. Calgary Quest Resources (CQR) operates our new programs:

a) Centre for Opportunity - is a transition to adulthood program for young adults with disabilities. The program is designed to enhance life-skills for the home and in the community, use of technology, health and wellness, leisure activities and more.

b) Before and After Care – provides our students with a safe place outside of scheduled school hours. Students will participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

c) Quest Adventure Camps (QAC) - offers an engaging and fun Summer Camp experience for Campers of All abilities aged 6 – 19. There is a new theme every week and specialized life skills camps for older campers aged 10 – 19.
