Shopping Companion

Calgary Seniors is looking for volunteers who have an interest in developing a social connection with a senior, while assisting their senior with their shopping needs. Volunteers will be asked to escort their senior during their shopping excursions as well as assisting with any relating tasks (ex. lifting heavier objects, helping to unload items, etc.). Due to COVID, volunteers are to continue helping their senior with their shopping needs while following Calgary Seniors' COVID protocols. 
We ask that volunteers: 
- be available 3-4 hours every two weeks 
- have a vehicle that can safely transport a senior client 
- demonstrate they have a minimum of $1,000,000 vehicle liability insurance
- be willing to commit to shopping trips once every two weeks for a minimum of six months 
- are 18 or older
