Canadian Blood Services Youth Ambassador

The CBS Calgary Youth Committee is a group of students who are united under a mandate of recruiting and retaining blood donors in association with Canadian Blood Services. Our committee organizes information booths at community events and festivals to raise awareness on the importance of blood donations and to sign up interested individuals for donation appointments. 

Volunteers will have the opportunity on attending all kinds of festivals & local events to recruit blood donors. Volunteers will also help reach out to various organizations and sign up interested individuals for blood donations. You will also be expected to attend hour-long committee meetings every other Wednesday evening at 6 PM MST through Zoom. 

The CYC hopes to continue promoting blood donations in the community both virtually and in-person. This committee fosters a social environment for volunteers to connect with one another. We are looking for high school and undergraduate students who are keen, responsible, and passionate to join our team.

New volunteers will attend an information session on Zoom in substitution of in-person training.
