Cyber-Security Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cyber-Security Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Islamic Information Centre. This volunteer position offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of our organization's digital assets while making a meaningful impact within our community.

Responsibilities:

    Assess and improve the security of the organization's network, systems, and data.
    Identify potential vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures.
    Monitor and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
    Provide recommendations for ongoing security training and awareness for team members.
    Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and best practices.

Qualifications:

    Proven experience in cyber-security, information security, or related fields.
    Familiarity with common security tools and frameworks (e.g., firewalls, encryption, vulnerability management).
    Strong understanding of risk management and incident response.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
