Are you based in the Rocky Mountain House area, and looking to give back to your community? Do you have a couple of hours to spare during the week? CNIB's Vision Mate program could be the perfect fit!

The CNIB Vision Mate program is recruiting for two volunteers in Rocky Mountain House to support two individuals with sight loss with some coversation and companionship, and perhaps some sighted support while walking in the summer months. 

If you enjoy conversation, fresh air and community connection, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Who you are:
- A friendly, kind and empathetic individual with a couple of hours to spare during the week
- A reliable individual that is open and willing to learn about the experiences of others

What you will do:
- Meet an individual weekly for an hour or two, at time that suits you both
- Provide companionship, conversation and sighted support

Additional Details & Skills Required
Training involves a pre-recorded online training video (1 hour), followed by an in-person training session where you will learn and practice sighted guide techniques (2 hours). This can be done remotely, if needed
