The Canadian Poverty Institute is a non-partisan institute housed within Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta. The vision of the Canadian Poverty Institute is a compassionate and just society where the material, social and spiritual wellbeing, rights and potential of all people are attained. Our mission is to advance the eradication of poverty in Canada through teaching, research and action that promotes systems change. Our mandate is to enable key stakeholders to effectively address systemic causes of poverty by connecting knowledge to practice.
