Move & Groove Dance Buddies Needed!

CP Kids & Families is thrilled to present Move & Groove with Bloom, an inclusive, adapted dance program for children ages 3 - 13+. Volunteers will support children in physical movement and fun under the direction of a Bloom Dance Facilitator. If possible, volunteers are encouraged to commit to an entire block of the program (Class B or C) to provide consistency and increased comfort level of the children. No dance experience needed! This program will be offered at North Glenmore Park Community Association, 2230 Longridge Drive SW, Calgary. Class A: 9:15am - 10:15am - parented - no volunteer support required Class B: 10:30am - 11:30am Class C: 11:45am - 12:45pm What will you do? • Assist a child in movements such as turning, arm raises, crawling, jumps, etc • Physically assist in transferring a child from wheelchair to floor and vice versa, with support from the coach • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement and redirection under the guidance of the facilitator • Work directly with children living with cerebral palsy or other neuromotor or cognitive disabilities What is required? • Complete a volunteer application through the CP Kids & Families website • Complete and submit the volunteer agreement which will be provided via email • Complete a 90-minute online training program Each volunteer will work with 1 - 3 children and must be physically able to be active throughout a 60-minute lesson.
