Volunteer Board Member - Finance Committee
CPAC is seeking a volunteer board member to join our Finance Committee. The Board provides governance to advance and safeguard the mission and vision of CPAC. The Board is responsible for long-term strategic planning, direction, and policy development that reflect CPAC’s organizational culture, values, and operating principles. The Board collaborates with the Executive Director, who leads all aspects of CPAC’s operations.
You will play a key role in enhancing our treasury function by providing financial oversight. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with the board, various committees, and senior management to contribute significantly to our organization’s success.
As a member of the Board and Finance Committee, you will:
•	Contribute to the development and approval of the strategic plan
•	Provide financial oversight, approving the annual budget and the organization's financial position
•	Guide the effective management of organizational resources
•	Review the organization’s services and programs to ensure they align with CPAC's mission and community needs
•	Act as an ambassador and advocate for CPAC
•	In addition to these qualities, we are seeking individuals with community connections and expertise in one or more of the following areas: law, governance, finance, government relations, technology & innovation, and fundraising
Commitment:
•	Minimum of one two-year term, with the opportunity to renew for a second term
•	Attend Board meetings regularly 
•	Attend Finance Committee meetings regularly
•	Participate in an annual planning session
