Crossing the Divide Experience Ltd

Taking Alberta's at-risk and disadvantaged youth outdoors since 1995.
Crossing the Divide Experience provides transformative outdoor experiences to at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Alberta.
Since our incorporation as a not-for-profit company under the Alberta Companies Act on January 18, 1995, we have provided affordable, accessible outdoor experiences to thousands of youth who would not otherwise have had the opportunity. We are run by a small, dedicated volunteer board of directors with experience in social work, the legal system, and the outdoors, and a strong belief in the positive impact that outdoor experiences can have on not just at-risk and disadvantaged youth, but by all youth. By keeping administrative and other costs low, we are able to direct as much of our resources as possible to purchasing and maintaining outdoor gear and hiring qualified guides to safely conduct high-quality summer and winter experiences for our clients.
Our funding comes from donations and Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commision proceeds that are made possible by volunteers who work charity casinos on our behalf. As a registered charity, all donations to Crossing the Divide Experience qualify as charitable tax deductions.
