If so, Design Week 2025 is for YOU!


What is Calgary Design Week?

Calgary's Design Week is a celebration of the power of design, showcasing its impact across all industries. From architecture and urban planning to visual arts, tech, and fashion design—this festival is about bringing together designers and the community to explore, connect, and inspire. It’s not just about aesthetics, but about the economic force that design represents in shaping the spaces we live in and the way we interact with the world.

This groundbreaking event will be a festival taking place from August 7-9, 2025, and will be dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the exceptional talent within Calgary's Design community– which is why we want YOU to be a part of it.

The 2025 Theme: In Plain Sight

The 2025 theme, In Plain Sight, seeks to highlight the unseen aspects of design and its influence on everyday life. What still remains to be uncovered? What are the connections, the stories, and the people behind our buildings, our gathering places, and our civic design? This is your chance to uncover the hidden layers of design that often go unnoticed but shape our daily experiences.

Join as a Volunteer (In-person)

Want to be part of something truly special? Join us as a Design Week volunteer and help bring the festival to life! Gain hands-on experience, connect with the design community, and contribute to an inspiring celebration.

Some onboarding days in May (remote)
Some training days in June and July (remote or in-person)
In-person meet: August 6
