Co-Director of Speak Your Mind (Blogging Team)

Please note that Free Your Mind Initiative is a for youth, by youth organization. Our age range is 12-25 years old.

Recommended skills:
Experience in WordPress is an asset.
Experience in editing (line-by-line, fact-checking, etc.) is an asset.
Knowledge of APA citation style is an asset.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with collaboration.
Excellent grasp of grammar, syntax, organization, and other essential writing tools.
Enthusiasm and passion for mental health advocacy.
 
Responsibilities:
Edit and publish monthly blog submissions from general volunteers on the Free Your Mind website.
Communicate edits and other feedback to general volunteers in an efficient manner.
Plan bi-weekly, virtual blogging team meetings with fellow Speak Your Mind Co-Director.
Remain in close communication with Free Your Mind Executives and fellow Speak Your Mind Co-Director.
Attend monthly, general directors meetings.
Complete orientation sessions, basic mental health literacy training, and periodic workshops relevant to your role.
Communicate any questions, concerns, and accommodation requests to the appropriate Free Your Mind Director or Executive.
