Global Shapers Calgary is a dynamic and passionate community of young professionals aged 18 to 30 committed to driving positive change in Calgary and beyond. As part of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, we focus on fostering leadership, innovation, and collaboration to address local and global challenges. Join us in shaping a better future through impactful projects, meaningful connections, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. We are seeking a passionate Project Assistant to help capture and share the stories of seniors in our community. This role involves organizing/conducting interviews, assisting with photography, and crafting compelling narratives. Some experience in journalism or storytelling is preferred. If you have a passion for people’s stories and a knack for creating engaging content, we'd love to hear from you! NOTE: this is a voluntary organization so this position is unpaid. Membership to Global Shapers Calgary is free. You must be 28 or younger to be registered as an official member.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
This is a great opportunity for a young professional to both develop their skills in project assistance for future roles, as well as become part of the World Economic Forum network. As this is a casual role with light responsibilities, tasks can be done on the volunteer's own time.
