Green Calgary

Green Calgary has been a leading urban environmental charity in Calgary since 1978, seeking to empower Calgarians to take action to make a change in their own lives. Green Calgary meets Calgarians wherever they are in their green journey and inspires them to set goals to get to where they want to be. Green Calgary generally accomplishes this through three main program areas: for schools, for businesses, and for homes & communities. Volunteer opportunities are available with Green Calgary in each of these program areas, as well as general help and special events. For example, Green Calgary organizes an annual community rain barrel and composter sale that acts as the main fundraiser for the year.
