New opportunities to volunteer with our Habitat for Humanity Chapter in Medicine Hat!

Habitat for Humanity is one of the most well-known non-profits in the world, and we're world-renowned for the empowering and meaningful volunteer experiences we offer. We currently have several opportunities for volunteers who want to use their skills to help families build strength, stability and independence through Habitat for Humanity’s affordable home ownership program.

If you have experience in one of these areas and want to help families in your community, we encourage you to apply for one of the regional committee volunteer positions listed below. 

Current volunteer opportunities:

Committee Chair/Co-Chair 
Volunteer as the Habitat Medicine Hat Committee Chair/Co-Chair and lead the regional activities, achieve goals and chair local meetings. If you have a passion for making an impact in your community, this is the perfect opportunity for you. 

Treasurer 
Responsible for reporting and submitting financial information and documents to Habitat for Humanity’s head office in Calgary, as well as reporting quarterly centrally produced financial statements to the committee in Medicine Hat. 

Family Services
Provide leadership in partnering with future homeowners in our affordable home ownership program. Work closely with Affiliate Family Services and local community partners to be aware of local need for Habitat model, and steward the program locally.

Marketing and Social Media 
Support regional activities with marketing plans, including managing local media relationships and social media accounts. Use multiple avenues and networks to bring awareness to local Habitat events and families in partnership.

Fundraising Events
Support Habitat in Medicine Hat by volunteering for casinos, trade fairs, and a variety of fundraising events. If you love meeting and interacting with people, these opportunities are perfect for you.

Habitat ReStore Customer Service Volunteer
This role is to provide customer service on the sales floor and maintain customer satisfaction. Friendliness and helpfulness are key elements of this role. Works directly with customers, staff and homeowners and represents Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in a professional manner.

Habitat ReStore Warehouse Volunteer
The Warehouse Volunteer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming donations. Working directly with donors, staff and Habitat homeowners. The Warehouse Volunteer will represent Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta in a professional manner.
