About Us: Hakili Community for Sustainable Development is a Canadian charity based in Calgary, AB. As a black-led volunteer organization, we are dedicated to empowering marginalized communities and addressing inter-generational poverty through community empowerment. Our child-centric programming provides enrichment opportunities for children and youth while supporting parents, aiming to create sustainable change. Purpose: The Administrative Assistant will provide crucial support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and initiatives. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful impact with a commitment of just 5 hours per week. Responsibilities: Administration Duties: Manage general email accounts and distribute inquiries. Assist in the preparation of reports. Update and maintain office policies and procedures. Support special projects as needed. Management Support / Board Relations: Provide support to senior management, including calendar and meeting arrangements. Manage the Board meeting calendar and support Board members. Assist with special projects to achieve organizational goals. Donor Relations / Marketing: Assist with community events. Support website and social media updates. Coordinate and compile customer/client/donor surveys. Support website and social media updates. Website Maintenance: Maintain and update the organization's website on WordPress. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English. Proficiency in MS Office 365 and Adobe Suite. Knowledge of social media platforms. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Previous administrative experience is an asset but not required Experience with WordPress is a plus.
