Hospice Calgary Society
Who we are:
Hospice Calgary is one organization with three separate centres of care. The Children's Grief Centre, Living with Advanced Illness Centre and Rosedale Hospice, our residential end-of-life care facility.
What we offer:
Our Children's Grief Centre supports families and children under the age of 19 as they adjust to the changes in their lives when someone close to them has died.
Our Living With Advanced Illness Centre supports people and families facing advanced illness, helping their ability to live well with their illness, improving quality of life, and broadening their coping skills.
Our Rosedale Hospice offers a life-affirming alternative to hospitalization or dying at home, focusing on individual care and quality of life.
Our Promise:
Wherever you access our services, we promise to journey with you, through end-of-life and grief, for as long as you need us. We promise to have the difficult conversations about death, dying and grief, hearing your unique story and responding with compassion.
Our locations:
Our Children's Grief Centre and Living with Advanced Illness Centre, are located in Deerfoot Meadows. Home to our counseling centre, various support groups, workshops, administration and leadership. Our Rosedale Hospice is located in the quiet NW neighbourhood of Rosedale, it's namesake, providing 24-hour end-of-life care for adult cancer patients.
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Hospice Calgary. Our volunteers help us support our clients and patients by providing over 11,000 hours of service yearly. Hospice Calgary is a not-for-profit organization and fundraising and the many volunteers across the organization, allows us to provide services for all three of our centres and the many programs associated with them.
