Fund Development Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Fund Development Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing the annual Fund Development plan. The role includes cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing donors and supporters. The Fund Development Manager is a results-oriented individual with strong management skills and a hands-on approach to fund development. This role will report to the Director of Fund Development and will have as direct report the Donor Relations and Communications Specialist. The Fund Development Manager works within the guidelines, policies, and mission of the organization. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ● In collaboration with the Director of Fund Development and Board Presidents sets annual funding priorities. ● Coordinates and implements the annual Fund Development plan. ● Manages and fosters a relationship with their portfolio of donors. ● Supports the Director of Fund Development in the research and identification of potential donors and in developing the case for giving for each funding opportunity. ● Remains current on all legislation and ethical practices pertaining to fundraising. ● Compiles, maintains and reports on fundraising statistics including membership and sponsorship. ● Oversees the work of the Donor Relations and Communications Specialist. QUALIFICATIONS ● Graduated or enrolled in a University degree or community college diploma program. ● Effective oral and written communication skills. ● Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with a range of stakeholders. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ● Sound computer skills including operating Google Suite.
