Junior League of Calgary (JLC) membership offers women the opportunity to meaningfully impact our community, our members, and our organization. Additionally, joining the Junior League of Calgary offers the opportunity to connect with other women in the Calgary community and to make lasting friendships.

The JLC achieves impact through direct service, indirect service, capacity building, and advocacy. The JLC collaborates with various partners in the Calgary community to improve life for Calgary youth. As a result, the JLC offers a variety of different direct and indirect volunteer opportunities that may occur one time, twice monthly, or monthly. While we collaborate with community partners to make positive community impact, the JLC does not provide volunteer capacity for other organizations. JLC members volunteer on JLC-developed programs and in identified roles with our community partners during Impact Events. In addition to volunteering, JLC members identify unmet critical needs in our community and develop community impact programming to address the critical needs. Volunteer opportunities also are present within the JLC organization for governance, management, and operations.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The Junior League around the world focuses on building our member skills as well as making a difference in the community. So members build skills through their committee work as well as through training opportunities. We also have the opportunity to meet like-minded women and build lifelong friendships.
