Making Changes is a community of women helping women and their families through life transition by providing them with the skills and resources to support their pursuit of meaningful work and educational opportunities.

About Basic Digital Skills for Women (BDS)
BDS is a digital literacy program for foundational learners which focuses on building confidence, community, and technology skills in a safe and friendly group setting. The technology skills learned will be customized for each cohort group, depending on learner’s goals, skill level and interest.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the BDS Program Manager, the BDS volunteer is responsible for supporting 8-10 foundational learners as they build relationships, confidence, and technology skills in a safe and friendly environment. 

Hours:  		8 hours per week - Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:30am – 1:30pm for 8 weeks
Dates:		March 25-May 29 2025
Location:  	In-Person at Making Changes Association – 6514 1a street SW, Calgary
Additional Details & Skills Required
Key Responsibilities Include:
-	Attending introduction and training meetings prior to the start of the program.
-	Classroom set-up and take-down.
-	Supporting the facilitation of learning activities.
-	Providing 1 on 1 support to students.
-	Sharing notes and feedback with the facilitator.

Preferred Qualifications:
-	Experience working with students or clients with CLB 2-4 level English.
-	Experience supporting or facilitating adult learning programs.
-	Strong English language skills
