The Manor Village story began over 25 years ago. Motivated by the changing needs of his mother, our CEO Dr. Garth Mann took it upon himself to visit 70 senior housing communities across Canada and the United States. Dr. Mann could not find a seniors home that felt quite right for his mother, so he was determined to create his own. From the 70+ visits, he developed the concept of providing an exceptional Lifestyle Experience for what is now known as The Manor Villages. During the 25 years that have since passed, Dr. Mann and his wife Karen, together with their children, have been innovators in design, development, building, and managing award-winning retirement communities for seniors living in Canada and the United States. The Manor Villages are known as "The Community With Heart", and the 8 residences in the Calgary area embody this motto in every aspect of living.
