Digital Learning Assistant
Are you tech-savvy and passionate about helping others? Become a part of our Tech Buddy Program and assist seniors in learning essential technology skills while navigating devices like iPhones, iPads, Android, and computers. This rewarding opportunity allows you to give back to the community by empowering older adults to stay connected, access digital services, and confidently use technology in their everyday lives. Plus, you’ll develop valuable problem-solving, communication, and teaching skills! Date & Time: Every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Location: Macleod Trail Co-op 8818 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2H 0M5 What You'll Do: 1. Personalized Support: Provide personalized guidance to seniors, helping them learn to use smartphones, tablets, and computers. 2. Teach Essential Tech Skills: Help seniors navigate common apps, settings, social media, video calling platforms (like Zoom), and internet browsing. 3. Troubleshooting Support: Assist with solving basic tech issues, setting up devices, and managing security settings. 4. Patience & Encouragement: Foster a supportive learning environment, helping seniors build confidence with technology. Who We’re Looking For: 1. Individuals who preferably speak Cantonese and Mandarin (English is also acceptable) to help teach basic digital skills to our Chinese seniors. 2. Tech-savvy individuals comfortable using smartphones (iPhone/Android), tablets, and computers.
