Contact Centre Agent - Downtown
Join our team as a Contact Centre Agent volunteer and support our Downtown Contact Centre team! The Mustard Seed Contact Centre processes all calls for all of our sites across 6 cities - Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Kamloops and Grande Prairie. We are looking for volunteers who are well-spoken, enjoy connecting with people and are interested in improving their customer service skills while supporting a local non-profit. Volunteers will be interacting with the general public, clients, and donors. Training sessions are provided. Please consider being a part of this exciting team this fall! Main duties include: - Taking inbound calls for all 6 cities where TMS sites are located. - Responding questions over the phone and/or transferring to the appropriate staff/department. - Providing information about TMS services, donor campaigns, hours of operation, etc. - Updating/tracking information on Salesforce. - Calling donors to thank them for their donation. Requirements: - Excellent customer service skills including pleasant telephone etiquette. - Excellent communication skills including attentive listening. - Excellent grasp of the English language both written and verbal. - Ability to build client relationships over the phone. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Great computer skills, including the ability to type 30 words per minute. Shift times: Weekdays: 9am – 1pm or 1pm – 5pm Mandatory Requirements: - Minimum 18 yrs of age or older - Clear police record check with a vulnerable sector search - Adherence to Volunteer Agreement - Weekly commitment of at least 4 hours for a minimum of 6 months
Additional Details & Skills Required
It will take 3-5 shifts for volunteer training. The volunteer will be in a shared office space with staff available to answer questions.
