RESET Society of Calgary is a registered non-profit organization that operates 24 hours a day, year-round, for thirty-six years. We provide client-driven, long-term, comprehensive, wraparound programming and support for women (age 16 and above) who have experienced sexual exploitation and/or sex trafficking. Our programming encompasses extending services to pregnant women and women with children, as well as women experiencing co-occurring issues and challenges such as addiction, trauma, and homelessness. Vision: For sexually exploited women and girls to know there is a way out. Mission: To provide comprehensive individualized support and safe housing to women and girls age 16 and over exiting sexual exploitation and sex trafficking so that they may transform their lives. Our Human Resources Committee: We are currently seeking energetic, professional and proactive individuals to join our Human Resources Committee. The Human Resources Committee is an operational committee that supports the Executive Director (ED) in Human Resources-related matters. The Committee provides support and advice to the ED to ensure that RESET is following fair, legal and current human resources practices that are consistent with both the vision and mandate of RESET. The Committee has the following duties and responsibilities: • Review the employee personnel policy manual and develop draft policies • Review compensation package in conjunction with the budget; utilizing current compensation data to establish pay scale and benefit packages • Assist the ED in the development of tools to identify employee training and development needs • Assist the ED in the development and monitoring of an Organizational Development Strategy when requested • Support the ED in ensuring employees are supported, and RESET is a desired employer in the marketplace • Assist the ED in the development of Governance HR policy as required. • Provide HR advice on employee relations and other HR matters as needed Meetings • The Committee will meet on a monthly basis at a minimum 7 times per year. Any recommendations of the Committee will be presented to the Board for approval before implementation • Members are expected to attend, prepare in advance and participate in all scheduled meetings Ideally You: Have a strong background in Human Resources or Employment Law with 3+ years of experience, possess skills in relationship and conflict management, plus a strong commitment to bettering the lives of women exiting sexual exploitation and/or trafficking.
