Social Justice Impact Curator – Amplifying Research on Parental Substance Use Stigma

3-10 hours / weekly

The Social Justice Impact Curator will be a key player in making important, often overlooked research on substance use/addiction-related discrimination and stigma accessible, relevant, and compelling for the next generation. By examining research through a social justice lens, this person will bring awareness to the systemic barriers families face—particularly in light of the impacts of chronic poverty, colonization, racism, and prohibition. Integrating lived experience with a deep understanding of research, the Impact Curator will connect with the community through social media, newsletters, and other platforms to reshape public conversations around parental substance use stigma and its impacts on young people.
Additional Details & Skills Required
As a team of peers and allies to people with lived experience with the stigma of substance use, particularly the stigma of parental substance use, lived experience is an asset in connecting research to lived experience for this role, but is not a requirement.
Certification or Education Required
Background in social services, social justice, and research experience is an asset
