The Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary is seeking dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join our Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to preserve Western Canada's aviation heritage, enhance community engagement, and help take the museum to new heights.

We Are Looking for Board Members with Expertise In:
•	Fund Development – Expanding our donor base and securing funding for future initiatives.
•	Information Systems – Enhancing digital infrastructure and museum technology.
•	Government Relations – Strengthening relationships with policymakers and government agencies.
•	Cultural Institutions – Bringing insights from museums, heritage organizations, and the arts sector.

Role: Board Member

Purpose: Provide strategic leadership and governance oversight to support the museum’s mission of preserving aviation heritage and fostering community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
•	Strategic Guidance – Help shape the museum’s long-term vision and goals.
•	Financial Oversight – Review financial plans and ensure long-term sustainability.
•	Policy Governance – Maintain governance policies that uphold museum integrity.
•	Stakeholder Engagement – Build relationships with donors, partners, and the broader community.
•	Committee Work – Contribute expertise to board committees and special initiatives.
•	Fundraising & Advocacy – Support fundraising activities and donor outreach efforts.
•	Risk Management – Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
•	Board & Event Participation – Attend board meetings and key museum events.

Qualifications
•	Passion for aviation history, museums, and education.
•	Experience in governance, leadership, or nonprofit management.
•	Skills in strategic planning, financial management, or fundraising.
•	Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
•	Willingness to dedicate time and resources to board responsibilities.

Term
A typical board term is three years, with the possibility of renewal based on the museum’s needs.
