💅 Volunteer for Nail Painting & Companionship – A Simple Touch That Means So Much
Do you enjoy pampering others and making people feel special? We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to provide gentle nail painting and companionship for the lovely ladies in our memory care community. Why It Matters: For women living with dementia, a little self-care goes a long way. The soothing nature of a hand massage, the familiarity of nail polish, and the joy of conversation create moments of dignity, beauty, and connection. Your visit can make someone feel truly seen. What You’ll Do: • Gently paint nails for residents who enjoy a little pampering • Offer light conversation and companionship during your visit • Help create a calm, friendly, spa-like atmosphere • Be patient, kind, and attentive to everyone’s needs We’re Looking for Someone Who Is: • Friendly, respectful, and gentle • Comfortable interacting with older adults living with memory loss (no experience needed—we’ll show you the way!) • Detail-oriented and happy to take their time with each person • 16+ (or with parental permission, if younger) We Provide: • Nail polish and supplies • Basic orientation and tips for interacting with individuals with dementia • Smiles, gratitude, and lots of appreciation! Location: The Manor Village at Varsity. Seniors Retirement Community. Time Commitment: 1 hour a week / 1 hour every other week / 1 hour every 3 weeks / 1 hour once a month. Whatever time commitment you have available When: Weekday mornings / Weekday afternoons / Weekday evenings / Weekend mornings / Weekend afternoons
