ESL Instructor for Seniors

Overview: 
We are looking for a passionate and creative volunteer to design and deliver an ESL course specifically tailored for senior learners. The course will be 8 hours in total, spread over 10-11 weeks, and can be delivered either online via Zoom or in person at the Unison at Kerby Centre. As an instructor, you’ll be responsible for developing your own curriculum that takes into account the unique needs and learning pace of seniors.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a senior-friendly ESL curriculum for a 10-week course.
- Teach 8 hours of instruction, either in person or online, depending on preference.
- Adapt lessons to the needs of seniors, considering language proficiency and mobility challenges.
- Track progress and provide feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.

Requirements:
- Experience teaching ESL or similar subjects, particularly to older adults, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with senior learners.
- Patience and adaptability to accommodate varying language levels.
- Ability to create and implement a curriculum suitable for seniors.
- Comfortable using Zoom if teaching online.
