About Puppet Power 2025: Conference - Festival
Puppet Power 2025 will delve into the complex issue of immigration, offering a creative and innovative perspective through the art of puppetry. This exciting conference and festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 18 – Sunday, October 19, 2025. 

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers both in Calgary and beyond to join our ACTION planning committee to help bring this event to life.

How to Get Involved
If you’re interested in contributing to this transformative event, please reach out to us at admin@wppuppet.com. Our first meeting will be held in early November. Before that time, we will send you background info and updates. 

Volunteer Responsibilities
•	Monthly Meetings: Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings from November 2024 to November 2025. In person in Calgary with ONLINE option.
•	Guest Artist Logistics: Assist with coordinating guest artists, including airport pickups and session hosting.
•	Outreach Activities: Plan and manage activities such as raffles, auctions, swag, door prizes, and poster competitions.
•	Marketing and Sponsorship: Contribute innovative ideas for marketing and securing sponsorships.
•	Global Marketing: Support creative strategies for global outreach and post-conference promotion.
•	Additional Tasks: Be prepared to assist with other tasks as needed.

•	Attend the Event: Participate in sessions led by master puppeteers.
•	Event Management Experience: Hands-on experience in event planning and committee work.

About Puppet Power 2025
Puppet Power 2025 is the 13th edition of WP Puppet Theatre’s signature festival-conference. The event will highlight the extraordinary work of puppeteers from around the globe, showcasing their empathetic approaches, impactful interventions, and innovative solutions to the challenges they face. Highlights include:
•	Master Workshops: Hands-on puppet-making workshops.
•	Live Talks: Live-streamed talks from international puppeteers. Hosted by our Animateur.
•	Evening Banquet: A community-building evening with a professional puppet performance.
•	Rapid Ideation Session: A unique session for Calgary Social Agencies working with immigrants.
