Campbell River Better at Home

The Better at Home program helps seniors remain independent and stay in their homes longer by providing some basic, non-medical services. We provide Light Housekeeping, Transportation Assistance, Grocery Shopping Coordination and Friendly Visiting. We also offer a free Prepared Meal Pilot Program.

Our Friendly Visiting service helps to reduce loneliness and social isolation. Seniors feel more connected to their community when they have a Friendly Visitor. A one hour visit each week from a Friendly Visiting volunteer can make a real difference in a lonely senior's life. Friendly Phone Calls can be part of Friendly Visiting.

Light housekeeping service helps to ensure a safe, clean environment for seniors who age in place.

We help address Food Security issues by providing options for grocery shopping coordination. Our Prepared Meal Pilot Program helps fight food insecurity by providing seniors on our program with free meals once per week.

Many seniors experience mobility issues. We provide transportation assistance to our senior clients for medical appointments. Drivers are needed to take seniors to their appointments.

Campbell River Better at Home is part of the Senior Support North Vancouver Island organization.
