Clothing Assistant Volunteer

Position Overview: The clothing assistant volunteer is a position that will help to keep our clothing area clean, stocked and organized in the front and back areas.

Key Responsibilities:

· Receiving donations and thanking donors.
· Organizing and sorting donations.
· Hanging clothing for sale.
· Putting clothes out for sale in a neat and organized fashion.
· Helping customers when asked.
· Keeping the front and back area tidy and clean.
· Assisting customers with entry into the change room

Qualifications:

· Stand for long periods of time.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Able to take direction.

· We ask that you commit to a regular schedule of at least two volunteers shifts per month. Shifts are 2 – 6 hours, depending on volunteers’ ability.

· Work well in a busy environment.
· Ability to multitask.
· Work from a feminist perspective.
· Submit a criminal record check.

This is a rewarding volunteer experience for a service-oriented person who wants to make a difference in our little thrift store. All proceeds go directly to programs and services provided by the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society
