Sawa World: Volunteer Report & Document Reviewer

Sawa World is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced volunteer to support its project management team by reviewing project activity, impact reports, and other key documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to ensure clarity and consistency in documentation. Experience with project documentation processes, particularly Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (M&E) reporting, is highly preferred. Main Duties Reviewing Project Reports & Documents - Proofread and edit project reports, proposals, and documentation for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. - Identify inconsistencies and provide feedback to enhance document quality and improve readability. Ensuring Quality & Compliance - Verify proper use of data, formatting, and structure in project reports. - Provide constructive feedback to strengthen documentation processes. Communication & Collaboration - Work closely with program managers and staff to ensure clear and effective reporting - Offer insights on improving the structure and effectiveness of reports. Qualifications An educational background in international development, nonprofit management, or another similar field Experience in monitoring and evaluation methodologies Minimum of 5 years of experience in project documentation, quality assurance, or compliance within the NGO sector Experience with quality assurance processes and knowledge of donor compliance requirements Strong understanding of impact measurement tools (e.g., baseline surveys, indicator tracking). Ability to critically review and provide feedback on technical project documentation. Attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in programmatic data Other Requirements Willingness to develop a good understanding of the youth culture and issues facing young people in Uganda. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Fun and outgoing personality.
