Volunteer Treasurer for Not for Profit

Volunteer Treasurer Position Available

Organization: CHS Alberta Chapter
Commitment: 10 hours per month
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee transactions, budgeting, and reporting.
Present financial status to the board.
Prepare and submit annual budgets.
Board Support:

Ensure financial sustainability and compliance.
Collaborate with staff for smooth financial operations.
External Auditors:

Coordinate annual audits and financial reporting.
Prepare necessary records for accountants.
Transaction Management:

Handle payments, cheques, and financial records.
Monitor bank accounts and investments.
Monthly/Daily Activities:

Reconcile donations and monitor partners.
Ensure timely financial entries in QuickBooks.

Annual Tasks:

Submit annual reports to the gaming commission.

Qualifications:

Experience in financial management, preferably as a treasurer.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Team collaboration skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Connection to the bleeding disorder community is a plus.
