Basic Digital Skills Tutor - South Edmonton

Support a senior in learning basic digital skills: teach them how to feel comfortable using their devices and be safe online!

This program takes place at Shepherd's Gardens Southside Manor. Meet each week on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm (this includes 30 minutes of setup and prep time, and a few minutes to socialize and clean up at the end).

*Basic Digital Skills runs in 10 week sessions. The upcoming Winter session will begin on January 15th and end on March 19th. We are seeking volunteers who can commit to the full 10 weeks.*

We provide tutors with lesson plans for various basic skills including creating a Google account, using email, finding and using accessibility features, and navigating the internet. This program is designed to be adaptive to each learner's needs, so volunteers should have a firm grasp on digital skills and be able to work off-book.
