Program Coordinator & Outreach Volunteer Opportunity at EmpoweredMe

Volunteers will play a vital role in supporting EmpoweredMe by: 1. Making outreach calls and setting up meetings with organizations, schools, Indigenous communities, and Metis settlements. 2. Managing and growing our social media presence, particularly on Instagram, and creating monthly newsletters through Mailchimp. 3. Assisting in the development of creative marketing strategies and researching new opportunities for company growth. 4. Coordinating programs, booking workshops, and creating affirmation cards for Indigenous youth. 5. Participating in community engagement and workshops, building relationships with stakeholders like school councils, and helping with event coordination.
Certification or Education Required
Current enrollment in a business, marketing, or related program at a college or university. Relevant certifications in marketing, project management, community engagement, or social media. Experience or coursework in outreach, event planning, or nonprofit management is a plus but not required. A passion for personal development, community empowerment, and Indigenous issues. All volunteers will receive training and support throughout their experience with EmpoweredMe.
